Virtual Walk Q & A
What is a Virtual Walk/Run?
The virtual Walk/Run can be completed where and when you want: indoors or outside, day or night. To be considered a finisher, you must complete either the 1M, 5K, 5M, 10K or 15K or all five within the event window which is February 1 - March 12. Be sure to obey local health guidelines while participating, and choose safe locations and times to complete your activities. When you finish, you’ll go to the results board and post your time. Measure your time and distance via a smartwatch, GPS-enabled device or phone.
Is it all virtual or do we get something?
We will offer you access to event results, leaderboard and participant result tracking. Thanks to our sponsors, all of our participants will receive a bandana in the mail. Goody bags, raffle prizes and awards will be available for contactless pick-up following the event. We will alert participants by email when the pick-up window opens.
Still not sure if this is for you?
Even though we won’t be together this year and the event will look different than expected, the one thing that hasn’t changed is our commitment to supporting local cancer care. We are here to help guide you through the process, from posting your results on the leaderboard, to supporting your friends and engaging on our social platforms.
What happens during the event window?
During the event window, visit our website and click on the link to view our program. We will regularly post on our Facebook and Instagram pages leading up to the event to highlight, encourage and engage with our you as well as share exciting stories as they come in. Don’t forget to upload a picture and create a fun “finish line photo” on the results leaderboard platform and then share it on your Facebook page. Our goal is to provide a platform for us all to connect and support one another as we make our way through this new world by continuing to do the things we love.
