Proactive Steps Toward a Cancer-Free World!
Did you know that 1.8 million people are diagnosed with cancer and 600K people die of cancer each year in the US? Compare that to 468K deaths in the US due to Covid in 2020. These stats are staggering and leave me questioning - is there more we can do to prevent this?
Education and prevention are the first step. The most common cancer diagnosis for women is breast cancer (246K women) and for men it is prostate cancer (192K men). Breast, lung and bronchus, prostate, and colorectal cancers account for almost 50% of all new cancer cases in the United States. Please take a minute to research the latest news in the fight against cancer (https://www.cancer.gov/news-events). Also, be sure to schedule a cancer screening if you haven't done so already.
Raising funds for research is the second. Please join me in this effort to help raise funds for necessary research and education by either registering to join the Aspire team for the upcoming Barbara Ireland Walk 2021 or considering a donation.
